Private correctional contracts a disaster, costing excessive tax dollars, abusing detainees, incentive for excessive sentencing

November 18, 2014

Read the Sentencing Projects’s report: Dollars and Detainees: the Growth of For Profit Detention, and you will find confirmed that when profit is introduced into public services the result is increased costs, decreased quality, and cover-up of corruption.

“The companies with which ICE and USMS contract, including CCA and the GEO Group, are largely the same ones that have been criticized for their handling of prison operations. More importantly, these companies operate off of the same business models employed in prison privatization that have led to understaffing, negligence, and abuse.107, 108, 109 In addition to harming those housed in contract facilities, private prison companies fail to save taxpayers money, can have a deleterious financial effect on communities,110 and contribute to the continuation of America’s use of mass incarceration and detention.111, 112 These private companies operate within complex and sometimes opaque systems where public and private officials cannot clearly answer questions and where the private companies managing federal detainees are not subject to Freedom of Information requests.113”

The only solution is massive reform of our justice  system which today is an injustice system. Read about the Myth of American Justice as seen in Illinois at this blog and the links listed in it: http://cookcountyjudges.wordpress.com.

As a wrongfully convicted felon who was sentenced to 2 yrs in prison and 1 yr parole in 2007, I can tell you about abuse, as well as a totally dysfunctional parole system – READ THIS:

Our depraved justice system must be stopped

January 29, 2013

Murderers in Illinois received sentences in the past of 20-30 years and were released in half the time. Aiding a terrorist in developing a nuclear weapon will put you in jail for 20 years.

However, our justice system is disproportionate in regards to sentences against those who are are addressing civil rights and wrongfully charged, against activists for judicial reform, against those who are advocating for freedom of information, and against patriots who commit peaceful protests and civil disobedience.

For downloading scientific papers where the research was paid by taxpayers led to charges that could lead to a 50 year sentence against Aaron Swartz.

Read about it here.

I was sentenced to two years in prison for allegedly “bumping” an officer with my wheelchair. Read about it here. The fraudulent prosecution where Sgt. Anthony Salemi attacked me in my wheelchair after sending away witnesses, then falsified his record and said I attacked him, then committed perjury is here.

I was summarily sentenced (NO TRIAL!) to 16 months in jail for the legal act of filing a next-friend petition for writ of habeas corpus on behalf of Annabel Melongo (read here story here). I have appealed all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court and they refused to enforce their previous holdings or the Bill of Rights here.

American Justice is a Myth!

The line has now been crossed and we must do something. Please help by spreading the word about these injustices and spreading the links to these web sites here, here, here, and here.

Write politicians and ask for Congressional testimony about corruption in our courts and police departments.

Tweet, email, spread in every social networking site, contact the press, seek a celebrity to help us with this cause of reforming corrupt courts, ask wealthy friends to help start a foundation to assist those of us whose civil rights are denied, to train the public how to defend themselves against corrupt courts, and publicize the myth of American justice.

We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us

IL AG Lisa Madigan – like the Colonel in movie – A Few Good Men

September 17, 2012

The following quote is by unknown on web site http://www.illinoiscorruption.net

Like actor Jack Nicholson in the movie A Few Good Men [from Wikepedia – “a 1992 American drama film directed by Rob Reiner and starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore. It was adapted for the screen by Aaron Sorkin from his play of the same name. A courtroom drama, the film revolves around the court martial of two U.S. Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine and the tribulations of their lawyer as he prepares a case to defend his clients”] —

Here’s “what [Illinois Attorney General ]Lisa Madigan might say[about corrupt Save-A-Life Foundation and their felony funding fraud – obtaining government grants from Homeland Security, Chicago Public Schools, State of Illinois, etc.]

You can’t handle the truth. Son, we live in a world with expensive political campaigns and those campaigns need to be financed by someone. Who’s going to do it? You Annabel Melongo? You ABC? I have a greater gubernatorial ambition that you can possibly fathom. You weep for the [wrongfully appropriated tax] money and curse Carol Spizzirri. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what a campaign costs. Carol Spizzirri’s though full of lies and deceptions saves [corrupt] political lives. My refusal to prosecute Jon Burge though calculated and incomprehensible to you saves my career. I don’t want them prosecuted because deep down I know that’s what we do in Illinois. I need Carol Spizzirri in that role. I want her in that role. In Illinois we use words like earmarks, connections, pay-to-play. We use these words as the backbone of our politics. Other states use them as punch lines. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to people who rise and sleep under the blanket of the legal system I provide and then question the manner in which I provide it. I would rather want they say thank you and go on their way otherwise I suggest they go through a campaign. Either way, I don’t give a damn what people think they’re entitle to.

Fraud-ridden foreclosure in Obama’s neighborhood

June 26, 2011

The following  press release reveals that outrageous fraud, including forgery and exploitation  of  naive young adults, regarding trusts, loans, title companies and hedge funds even invades President Obama’s neighborhood.

June 26, 2011     for immediate release      contact: Dr. Maisha Hamilton 312-835-1951

FRAUD-RIDDEN FORECLOSURE IN OBAMA’S
NEIGHBORHOOD

On June 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., Dr. Maisha Hamilton will appear in Cook County Circuit Court, Chancery Division, Room 2801, Judge David Atkins presiding. There she will represent herself, pro se, and present several motions in an effort to save her Hyde Park home on Chicago’s south side from a fraudulent mortgage/foreclosure complaint.

As an apparent local victim of the fraud-ridden national mortgage/foreclosure crisis, as revealed in relevant part by Abigail Field in her recent article, “The Enormous Clouded Title Problem” (The Daily Finance,  6:00P.M. 03/18/2011), Dr. Hamilton is contending against a slew of national and international heavyweights in the real estate mortgage/foreclosure  industry–Chicago Title Land Trust (“Chicago Title”), Logan Asset Backed Fund
(“Logan”) – a hedge fund, Deutsche Bank, Saxon Mortgage Company, Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Fremont Investment and Loan, Lawyers Title Company, the former Community Bank of Lawndale (now Covenant Bancshares), International Bank of Chicago, and Eastern Savings Bank, as well as several units of local, state and federal government. The crux of Dr. Hamilton’s complaint is that on November 26, 2007, her older son, Karega Bennett, then an inexperienced 27 year old, was unlawfully manipulated by Chicago Title into ostensibly pledging their family home to Logan by, among other things, telling him that the home was in a trust, when it was not, that Karega was a beneficiary of the alleged trust, when he was not, and that using the home as collateral for a $1.235 million dollar mortgage loan to Chicago Title, alleged trustee for the alleged trust, based on Karega’s personal guarantee of the loan would be a favor for his mother because Chicago Title would use his trust funds to pay personal debts that the trustee falsely alleged that his mother owed, which she did not.

Karega was not working at the time, he did not own a house, a car, or any other tangible asset of significant value, and he did not have any money in the bank. Clearly, he did not qualify by any objective criteria to guarantee a $1.235 million dollar loan. Nevertheless, Logan made the loan to Chicago Title, collateralized by the alleged trust, with the stipulation that Karega would make one lump-sum payment of $1.235 million dollars within twenty-four (24) months.

Dr. Hamilton also presents an array of sub-complaints and related issues for adjudication, including forged mortgages, adulterated deeds, violations of truth-in-lending, fictitious trust agreements, attachment of fraudulent liens to real property, loans to unqualified buyers with the premeditated intent to eventually seize their property, retaliation for reporting financial institution misconduct to the FDIC and Federal Reserve, and failure of the FDIC and Federal Reserve to protect the interests of homeowners from an unscrupulous banking industry.

Dr. Hamilton is challenging the actions of Chicago Title, Logan and other named parties in this matter as having been fraudulent, unlawful, unconscionable, and unfortunately, highly representative of what is happening to innocent citizens nationwide, who are being victimized not only by unethical but also by unlawful actions and practices of mortgage bankers, title companies, supposed “trust” companies, and other financial institutions.

Copies of her filings are available in the Office of the Cook County Circuit Court Clerk, Room 802, under Case No. 2008-CH-38680, Logan v. Chicago
