Poorly Managed “War on Drugs” Leads to Increased Crime and Terrorism

January 24, 2009

The following internet post is one of the best discussions on the “War on Drugs” and its unintended and unacceptable collateral consequences that I have seen in years. Please read it, discuss it and talk to your congressmen and legislators about it. We need to have rational and realistic government policies based on scientifically proven methods to solve problems and rehabilitation and drug addiction treatment.

If you continue voting for idiots as your government officials – this is what will happen – increase crime, suffering, terrorism, and suffering around the world.

Martin Luther King Jr – The Power of Selflessness, Non-Violence, Unity, and Sacrifice

January 17, 2009

Martin Luther King Jrs. birthday is January 19. He has been a driving force in my life. Most people think his “I have a dream” speech is his best, and it certainly is the most famous.

 http://www.mlkonline.net/dream.html

 But, I am most profoundly moved and inspired by the last speech he made on the night of April 3, 1968. In this speech he expresses the POWER of SELFLESSNESS and NON-VIOLENCE.

See:
http://www.mlkonline.net/promised.html

 For when people get caught up with that which is right and they are willing to sacrifice for it, there is no stopping point short of victory. . . .
But either we go up together, or we go down together. . . .

But I’m going to tell you what my imagination tells me. It’s possible that these men were afraid. You see, the Jericho road is a dangerous road. I remember when Mrs. King and I were first in Jerusalem. We rented a car and drove from Jerusalem down to Jericho. And as soon as we got on that road, I said to my wife, “I can see why Jesus used this as a setting for his parable.” It’s a winding, meandering road. It’s really conducive for ambushing. You start out in Jerusalem, which is about 1200 miles, or rather 1200 feet above sea level. And by the time you get down to Jericho, fifteen or twenty minutes later, you’re about 2200 feet below sea level. That’s a dangerous road. In the day of Jesus it came to be known as the “Bloody Pass.” And you know, it’s possible that the priest and the Levite looked over that man on the ground and wondered if the robbers were still around. Or it’s possible that they felt that the man on the ground was merely faking. And he was acting like he had been robbed and hurt, in order to seize them over there, lure them there for quick and easy seizure. And so the first question that the Levite asked was, “If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?” But then the Good Samaritan came by. And he reversed the question: “If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?”.

That’s the question before you tonight. Not, “If I stop to help the sanitation workers, what will happen to all of the hours that I usually spend in my office every day and every week as a pastor?” The question is not, “If I stop to help this man in need, what will happen to me?” “If I do no stop to help the sanitation workers, what will happen to them?” That’s the question.

Let us rise up tonight with a greater readiness. Let us stand with a greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days, these days of challenge to make America what it ought to be. We have an opportunity to make America a better nation. And I want to thank God, once more, for allowing me to be here with you.

You know, several years ago, I was in New York City autographing the first book that I had written. And while sitting there autographing books, a demented black woman came up. The only question I heard from her was, “Are you Martin Luther King?”

And I was looking down writing, and I said yes. And the next minute I felt something beating on my chest. Before I knew it I had been stabbed by this demented woman. I was rushed to Harlem Hospital. It was a dark Saturday afternoon. And that blade had gone through, and the X-rays revealed that the tip of the blade was on the edge of my aorta, the main artery. And once that’s punctured, you drown in your own blood–that’s the end of you.

It came out in the New York Times the next morning, that if I had sneezed, I would have died. Well, about four days later, they allowed me, after the operation, after my chest had been opened, and the blade had been taken out, to move around in the wheel chair in the hospital. They allowed me to read some of the mail that came in, and from all over the states, and the world, kind letters came in. I read a few, but one of them I will never forget. I had received one from the President and the Vice-President. I’ve forgotten what those telegrams said. I’d received a visit and a letter from the Governor of New York, but I’ve forgotten what the letter said. But there was another letter that came from a little girl, a young girl who was a student at the White Plains High School. And I looked at that letter, and I’ll never forget it. It said simply, “Dear Dr. King: I am a ninth-grade student at the Whites Plains High School.” She said, “While it should not matter, I would like to mention that I am a white girl. I read in the paper of your misfortune, and of your suffering. And I read that if you had sneezed, you would have died. And I’m simply writing you to say that I’m so happy that you didn’t sneeze.”

And I want to say tonight, I want to say that I am happy that I didn’t sneeze. Because if I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have been around here in 1960, when students all over the South started sitting-in at lunch counters. And I knew that as they were sitting in, they were really standing up for the best in the American dream. And taking the whole nation back to those great wells of democracy which were dug deep by the Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. If I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have been around in 1962, when Negroes in Albany, Georgia, decided to straighten their backs up. And whenever men and women straighten their backs up, they are going somewhere, because a man can’t ride your back unless it is bent. If I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have been here in 1963, when the black people of Birmingham, Alabama, aroused the conscience of this nation, and brought into being the Civil Rights Bill. If I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have had a chance later that year, in August, to try to tell America about a dream that I had had. If I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have been down in Selma, Alabama, to see the great movement there. If I had sneezed, I wouldn’t have been in Memphis to see a community rally around those brothers and sisters who are suffering. I’m so happy that I didn’t sneeze.

….

And then I got into Memphis. And some began to say that threats, or talk about the threats that were out. What would happen to me from some of our sick white brothers?

Well, I don’t know what will happen now. We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn’t matter with me now. Because I’ve been to the mountaintop. And I don’t mind. Like anybody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land. And I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”

My own grandfather was a Baptist minister, Rev. William Tatter, and he was of like mind to the Rev. King. I grew up emotionally and philosophically by the words of Rev. King and my grandfather and from those days committed my very soul to the concepts of selflessness, non-violence, unity, and sacrifice for others are ALWAYS more important than self. I hope you join me in this commitment that is also so well embodied in our founding father’s statement in the Declaration of Independence: “[W]e mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor.

For the Declaration of Independence see:

http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm

I renew the commitment of our founding fathers and I renew my acceptance of the guidance of Rev. King and my grandfather today and hope you will join me.

Death of Inmate from Neglect – Physical Threats Against Dr. Shelton by Correctional Officers – Inaction of FBI and U.S. Attorney

January 14, 2009

Dr. Linda Shelton physically threatened by Officers

Please Avenge me and Fight for Justice to be Brought Against Perpetrators if you hear I have been killed or severely injured by police or sheriff staff.

I have received many threats over the last eight years in retaliaton for my activism behind the scenes and now public whistle blower activities. I wish now to share them with you. So far the FBI and US Attorney are doing nothing to protect me. They are slow and inept, lacking sufficient staff, green in many ways, with warped priorities. I don’t expect their help. I do expect a short life. All of this information has been forwarded to the US Attorney and the FBI.

I answer questions on a commercial web site set up by companies to sell services to inmates and their families. The Cook County Jail web site is very useless and poorly done. I believe ALL inmates and their families deserve humane treatment and answers. So I answer as many questions as possible as a public service at this web site, where I write under the name “Linda”. They have even impersonated me and used the name “Linda”:

These offensive posts containing illegal statements have been removed now from the web site by the web site administrator after they reviewed them at my request. The following are copies of posts on this web site threatening me with physical harm by officers pretending to be family of inmates or released inmates:

This Linda lady who all you people are writing to and asking questions is a complete fraud. Look at how many times she has been charged and locked up. She has on numerous occassions assaulted many law enforcement officials and has a rap sheet longer than your arm. This lady is not stable she has no life or purpose. She stays with drama and propoganda in her life. People wake up if you need answers about Cook County go to the official web site. I work at the jail and have come into contact with Linda Shelton she is violent uncontrolable and very abusive both verbally and physically. You Ms. Shelton are a SHAM!!!! because the next time you get locked up, and there will be a next time, if you act they way you have been you will be delt with firmly and swiftly. just know that Ms. Shelton they now have tasers and pepper spray for people just like you. Remember, don’t forget you heard it here first.

Officer “Augistine” – Yes,I will remember your lies and your threats of physical harm. I am forwarding them to the FBI and US Attorney. It is a federal felony to threaten a federal witness. For those who want to know who I am, I have nothing to hide. I am a non-violent pacifist, disabled, and a federal witness agaisnt corrupt officers and officials at the jail. Any officers that wish to confess and perhaps get leniency, I suggest you contact Asst. US Attorney Joan Laser of the US Attorney’s task force on civil rights violations in Chicago. I also suggest any inmates who have been illegally abused with unnecessary injections of drugs to shut them up or retaliate against them should contact the Illinois Human Rights Authority – Director Parks. They will be coming to the jail again to again investigate the illegal use of drugs against inmates which is a criminal violation of Illinois Law. It reminds me of what the Soviets used to do to dissidents and activists who patriotically fought for their rights and their country. Nazi’s like you Officer “Augustine” will be taken down!

E-mail to FBI from Shelton:

Please investigate the following from the web site listed as follows and inform AUSA Joan Laser. I believe the posters are guards pretending to be inmates. I have also received other death threats by phone in the past – “you better stop what you’re doing or you’re going to end up in the Cal Sag Canal” and “you better look under your car before you start it.” One officer in Evergreen Park told me to watch my back as the 80% of the officers who back me up can’t do anything against the “7 thugs the chief has assigned to get you any way he can.”

I don’t care if they kill me or hurt me. Just know if this happens you could have prevented it! I am going to post this on my web sites to document your failure to protect me or to act on the evidence I gave you. Dr. Hamilton is still wrongfully incarcerated at CCDOC now on her eighth month. The same applies to her.

I don’t know why I bother to tell you all this. I suppose I just want it documented when something happens to me. I’m appalled at your lack of action. We live in a totalitarian police state and you’re part of it. I know I can’t trust you.

If you go to jail and throw yourself on the floor,pretend like you can’t breath, and all together fake poor health (ie. walk with a cane) can you get to a medical dorm ? I knew this Dr. that claimed the guards beat her and her judge put false contempt charges on her and all she did was fake a bunch of illnesses to presude people to release her from jail. I even heard she gets on this website and give people bad advice…best bet is to consult an attorney before you take advice from some crack pot doctor.

T-Bone. I am the doctor you are talking about. I did not fake anything. They denied my medications and tortured me. I underwent a heart procedure in August. I have congenital spinal stenosis and had neurosurgery on my spine where they broke all the bones and reconstructed them. I now walk with a walker due to the injuries received in prison that worsened my conditions. I have a very severe form of asthma due to me being caught in an environmental accident/gasoline spill and overcome by fumes which damaged my lungs. I suggest you read my blogs including: illinoiscorruption.blogspot.com and the links to my other blogs. I am a federal witness against corrupt officials and officers at the jail. I don’t know where you get your information, but you clearly are the person who should not write on this site. If you this garbage info from the officers then you clearly are just being manipulated to further defame me. I suggest you also go to the federal court clerk’s office and look up the suits I have against state officials and police. If you want also go on the Circuit Court Clerk’s web site and look up my cases in Chancery and Law Division against IDOC for torture, violations of ADA, excessive force, violation of civil rights, failure to provide medical care, etc. Perhaps you are even a staff member at the CCDOC who is trying to discredit me!

JESUS….. Lemme just say a few things here…. Try working there. you have to remember 99% of the people coming and going are assholes,un educated, and just f*ckin rude w/ no respect. Therefore unfortunatly some of that nasty attitude gets reflected back to the whole 1%. Brittany, his bond is 2000.00.. Linda, either you work here or you spend too much time here. As for medical attention, 75% of these inmates do not take care of themselves in the world… they come to the County, and CRY and BITCH about everything from, headlice to toothaches… therefore ((% of the problems the medical staff has to deal with is BULLSHIT, just so the inmate can take a walk, or get a lil more attenetion. Get a f*ckin job there… and we’ll see day to day, how the GUARDS are treated. Erin – aren’t you talking about the guards? They are poorly educated, undertrained, bullies, psychopaths, sociopaths, who have no supervision except by those that have been violating the law and abusing others for decades. I suppose you think Burge is a Saint also! If you read the recent US Attorney’s report at http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/iln/pr/chicago/2008/pr0717_01a.pdf there are also a significant number of guards who are murderers and felony civil rights violators. Even dogs are treated more humanely than inmates at CCDOC per the US Attorney. I’m just waiting for the indictments. Once we clearn up the place the officers who are left may be able to do a better job and then they will receive the respect they will have earned.

My relatives are correctional officers, state police, military. I suggest you read the 98 page report from the U.S. Attorney sent to Stroger that documents the totally inadequate medical care,, the murder of inmates by guards beating them. I turned over to the affidavits from 40 inmates detailing how they were raped by guards, beaten by guards gratuitously, denied medical care (seizing on the floor for four hours for example). The US Attorney documented one man with a broken leg in a cast with an open wound where the “doctors” cut off his antibiotics and CCDOC staff refused to take him back to the orthopedic doctor. A month later when pus was oozing out of the cast his leg had to be amputated. Also what about May Molina who the CCDOC staff killed by denying her medical care while in a wheelchair when she needed asthma and diabetic care. The biggest problem is that the officers are not trained properly and as the US Attorney said there is an atmosphere of corruption and violence BY THE GUARDS. In Japan jail guards get three years training! You get two months after High School – that’s ridiculous. You barely have time to learn how to shoot and put on handcuffs. I feel sorry for the 90% of the officers who are trying to do a good job even though they don’t have half the training they need. If they would stop covering up for the psychopathic bully guards who are more dangerous than the inmates and if their union would demand better training. I have received death threats from many officers. I have been beaten up by Sgt. Salemi and Ofc. Johnson in the Cermak infirmiry. I have been denied medical care. Guess what! I’m now a federal witness! I won’t stop until the place is cleaned up. I have informed the US Attorney of your threat against me. It is a federal felony to threaten a federal witness. I hope you enjoy your time behind bars!

Hello, My sister recently passed away in prison. August 4th 2008. Her name Tiffany M. Bradley. Her crime, petty. She was in the Phyciatric unit of the jail I was told that her doctor gave her medication. After her did around 8:42 pm she was rushed to St.Anthony’s Hospital where she was she was pronoced dead. The nurse I spoke with that worked on her said she was pretty much doa but he still worked on her and pronced her dead at 8:50 pm. Later, at 1:40 a.m I get a phone call from my mother than she had 2 officers from elk grove in her home telling her her daughter has been dead.l The hours between seem to confuse me. Something is definatly wrong with this. No one will get back to me when they say and I am help-less. My sister didn’t and was not supose to die. I believe if the jail was run better and not corrupt that she would have lived. If you would like more info, please feel free to ask, Sincerely in devistation, Noelle Kwiatek

I have a couple of questions, I have been visitng my grandson every visiting day since May, he hasn’t received a haircut in all that time, his uniform is filty too large, he said that is the same uniform he received when he first went in which was April, he said he was told that the inmates get a different uniform each week, when he first went in there, the pants and shirt fitted him, but since he has been in there he has lost a lot of weight, now the clothing look like they are hanging on a stick, and he has a medical condition where he is unable to eat certain food, the acid in his stomach has burned his esophagus real bad, so that caused the inside of his esophagus to look like it is raw and has big lumpy looking bumps or blisters, he had a test done in GI clinic and they took pictures, we starting crying it look so bad,due to the acid that keep coming up in his throat and he has no where to spit so he has to swallow it, and it causes him a lot of chest discomfort, he was on medication before he was locked up, he said that he tells someone there that he need medication, but he still hasn’t seen a doctoe there, so in th meantime he is just wasting away due to the problem that he is unable to eat properly or take his medicine, also he is getting really dark, and I dont see why, because he is not out in the sun, i think it is because of his condition. Our Answers to Our Problems – You Tell Me!

January 11, 2009

 What we can do is only limited by our will and our imagination. We must think out-of-the-box. We must work together and resolve our differences. We use a very small portion of our intellectual potential. Anything is possible when there is respect, cooperation, long-term vision, and love for our fellow man – no matter his condition or position in our lives. Nothing is set in concrete. The fundamental beauty of man is our adaptability and creativity. It is a pity that it is usually wasted in petty materialism, bias, totalitarian restrictions, and hatred built by centuries of defamation. Man does not evolve in small steps, but there are significant leaps. I believe strongly, we are about to make one. Questions America Must Answer to Fix Our Health Care System – Give Me Your Thoughts

January 8, 2009

FIXING HEALTH CARE

“50% or so of health care dollars is spent on advertising. What will you do to stop this waste. Health care providers should be like the police and fire departments, a necessary public service that does not advertise.”

“Would you support a steeply progressive and very high tax on advertising of drugs to discourage this practice? This would quickly reduce the cost of drugs as presently 50 % of drug company budgets are advertising costs. Or would you ban advertising?”

“Whether to do Phase 3 clinical trials of new drugs is decided by drug companies – encourages excessive costs by testing unnecessary “me too”  drugs with no benefit. Would you support FDA taking over this decision analagous to IL hosp plan commission?”

“Our veterans in chronic pain are thrown narcotics in high doses making them nonfunctional addicts instead of treating pain properly with multiple modalities (TENS units, therapy, muscle relaxants, meditation). Will you help them reclaim their lives?”

“Medical care at Cook Co. Jail & IL prison system is so inadequate inmates have had their leg amputated for lack of antibiotics & prisoners who were disabled lay on the floor in diarrhea for days unable to obtain water/care. Will DOJ investigate?”

“In Illinois Atty Gen Lisa Madigan, several Governors, and their corrupt accomplices fraudulently deny mental health care to those on Medicaid and wrongfully prosecute health care providers who are trying to provide this service. Will you investigate?”

“Will you acknowledge childhood obesity caused by fast foods and soda pop and ban soda pop and fast foods from schools & bring affordable food stores to poverty stricken communities? Inner cities have lots of fast food – little affordable food stores.”

“We save premature babies and children in ICUs, then fail to fund continuing care for severely disabled babies/children leading to poverty, divorce, family destruction, neglect of siblings, lost potential, and increased disability. Will you fix this?”

“Daschle has a reputation of being in the pockets of pharmaceutical companies. Is this true and if so will you make sure that pharmaceutical companies do not have undo influence over health care policy and do not rake in excess profits off our misery?”

“Will you help switch funding for care of severely disabled and dying children from institutions to home care? The choice to care for the child at home should be the parents not the state’s.”

“Haldol – antipsychotic is excessively involuntary injected in ERs and jails to quash free speech, curb dissent, and force behavior to change per dictates of others. Will you stop it? The Soviets used this method for dissidents – WE SHOULDN’T!””

“Half of health care dollars are spent for often futile end of life or beginning of life care (ultrapreemies). Much can be saved by putting limits on such and better funding and promoting more humane hospice care. Will you investigate this and fix it?”

Doctor’s Pay and HMOs – How to Fix HealthCare System

January 6, 2009

I do not believe that my colleagues who make 1 million dollars per year for doing open heart surgery deserve that amount of salary off of people’s misery. I do believe many are vastly overpaid – especially hospital administrators for “not-for-profit” hospitals that make $600,000+ per year. I believe physicians should be salaried like police or firemen. Then the incentive to see more than a hunded patients a day and move them through the “mill” will be gone and doctors will spend the time with you that they need to spend.

A VA like system could still use the existing health care networks.

An HMO style system where doctors are paid monthly per patient no matter how many times the patient sees them is very bad as the incentive is to have as large a panel of patients as possible to increase income and then to see the patients as little as possible, order as few tests as possible, and shortchange the patient by moving them through the office like a factory or mill.

The payment to the doctors should be totally disconnected form the Number of patients they see or the Type of illness they treat. Doctors who perform procedures like orthopedic and heart surgeons should not be payed obscenely more than doctors who talk to patients and counsel patients like psychiatrists and pediatricians. Talking and counseling therapy is as valuable and as difficult to learn as surgery.

We don’t need to add more dollars to medical care. We need to cut waste! Pharmaceutical companies spend half their money on advertising. Stop advertising and the cost of drugs will vastly decrease. Half of our health care dollars are spent on end-of-life futile treatments. We need to have clearer guidelines in this area. Instead of spending small amounts on preventive care, our citizens don’t get the care they need to prevent more expensive needed medical care. There are a LOT of areas where savings can be found and the money saved can be channeled into a more rational system.

I very much would like the public to engage in a debate on these suggestions – which are a beginning and food for thought – help me develop these ideas! Send a comment – by clicking comments at the end of the post.  I have sent all these questions to the Obama-Biden Transition team.

ENDING CORPORATE CONTROL AND PERSONHOOD – RESTORING POWER TO THE PEOPLE

“Would you support a 28th Amendment proposed by famed author, advocate, marine biologist, public speaker, Riki Ott, who wrote the Book about the Exxon Valdez disaster consequences to end “corporate personhood”, and return the government to the people?”

“Will you hire/ appoint as advisors civil rights activists, dissidents, ex-cons especially someone who has been wrongfully convicted, whistle blowers, and others in the trenches and not just use professional politicians, lobbyists and political hacks?”

TRANSITIONING FROM THE PAPER AGE TO THE DIGITAL AGE – MODERNIZING AMERICA

“Communications a new frontier – money wasted; no standardization of bills & records; difficult finding data; privacy & security concerns; elderly/disabled concerns; education concerns. Do you support new Cabinet position for Communications Secretary?”

“In Illinois Atty Gen Lisa Madigan, several Governors, and their corrupt accomplices fraudulently deny mental health care to those on Medicaid and wrongfully prosecute health care providers who are trying to provide this service. Will you investigate?”

ENDING CORRUPTION

“Truth commissions worked in S Africa to encourage confession, transparency, healing, accountability, and reconciliation. Couldn’t they work in the U.S to save money, increase openness, and allow us to get beyond corruption and move on constructively?”

FIXING GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION

“AAG Patrick Fitzgerald doesn’t have half the manpower he needs to prosecute all the corruption in Illinois. Will you remedy this and make stamping out corruption a priority along with prosecuting felony civil rights violations?”

CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUES IN JUSTICE SYSTEM

“Prosecution of felony civil rights violations – been stopped by Bush. Will you prosecute systemic intentional civil rights violations in prisons and jails that have led to death and loss of limb by intentional withholding of medical care and meds?”

“In Illinois 1 prison law librarian handles ALL requests from all 40,000 prisoners for legal research, legal documents, etc. This cannot be considered access to the courts. Will the DOJ investigate and prosecute such systemic civil rights violations?”

FIXING [IN]JUSTICE SYSTEM – HELPING CIZITENS TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL AND JOIN THE WORK FORCE – FIXING THE ECONOMY

“Torture, medical neglect, abuse, denial of access to courts is routine in American prisons. What will you do to fix this and reduce the prison population which is 40 X greater than in any civilized country and is tearing down our economy?”

“Excess incarceration is killing our economy. Will you lead the battle to replace incarceration with restorative justice for non-violent offenses. Skilling should be working and  paying 99.9% of his salary to those he harmed!”

“Torture, medical neglect, forced drugging, withholding of medical diets, falsification of records by guards, beatings resulting in death is standard practice in US jails and prisons. Will you hold Congressional hearings on this topic to expose it?”

“Rural areas have attracted for profit prisons. The prison/industrial complex now employes 1/10 Americans. This is not productive – guards and prisoners don’t contribute to the economy – they suck the wind out of it. What will you do to fix this?”

“Brain surgeons go to medical school for 4 years then do internships and residencies to learn this skill for another 7 years. I don’t want a family doc doing brain surgery. Shouldn’t judges be required more education than 3 years of law school?”

“All sorts of roadblocks are put up to prevent pro se litigants from defending themselves and litigating in courts. Will you see that pro se manuals are written, judicial education is improved, and citizens can have access and fairness in the courts?”

“Judges are arrogant, incompetent, corrupt, and they routinely deny civil rights – right to self-representation, right to access courts, introduce evidence, etc. They abuse orders for fitness exams. Will you hold hearings and change this?”

“Corrupt politicians and police illegally use fraudulent charges of disorderly conduct, trespass, resisting arrest, etc., as retaliatory tools against whistle blowers and dissidents. Will you hold Congressional hearings on this and stop this practice?”

FIXING TORTURE, ABUSE, MEDICAL NEGLECT IN JAILS AND PRISONS

“US Atty Fitzgerald found systemic medical neglect and violence by guards against inmates at Cook Co. Jail. YET NO INDICTMENTS for this intentional battery resulting in many deaths have occurred. Will you prosecute these criminal officers/officials?”

PRESERVING OUR CULTURE AND THE ARTS

“Japan preserves its crafts by funding “living national treasures” – top craftsmen and artists. They are given a govnt salary to maintain and teach their skill like swordmaking, flower arranging, Samari skills. Should we do this?”

Impeach Judge Kathleen Pantle

January 3, 2009

Judges should be impeached when their conduct so intentionally impeads justice and so intentionally violates the Bill of Rights that they bring great disgrace upon the courts and cause great injustice. These impeachable acts are not just a mistake of law, or a judicial error, but rise to the level of intentional, disgraceful, illegal, unconstitutional, acts of harassment, retaliation, bullying, obstruction of justice, and aiding and abetting felony misconduct of prosecutors. These acts have caused great harm to their victims.

I propose that articles of impeachment  should be brought against the following judge for the following reasons:

Dishonorable Judge Kathleen Pantle:

Dishon. Judge Pantle purposely violates the Constitution and the laws of both the United States and the country:

1. She issues excessive and unconstitutional bail orders out of spite, animosity, arrogance, narcissism, and deceit, even without a formal charge or due process.

On June 15, 2005 she raised my bail on a fraudulent Medicaid vendor fraud charge, upon a motion from the State for violation of bail, from a $10,000 personal recognizance bail to a $100,000 D-Bond (requires 10% payment) despite the fact she had declared me indigent, I am disabled, I had no criminal record, and I care for an elderly disabled father.  I had been jailed wrongfully by Pantle for contempt because I told her she was violating the law and had no jurisdiction in this void case, then politely attempted to walk out of the courtroom to preserve this issue for appeal, particularly because she had sue sponte removed me as pro se counsel and then denied me appointment of a public defender. During incarceration I was attacked by Sgt. Anthony Salemi, who falsified his record and said I attacked him from my wheelchair.

On December 14, 2005 in the same case Dishon. Judge Pantle arrested me executing her arrest warrant illegally issued on December 8, 2005, despite me informing her in writing on December 7, 2005 that I could not come to a court hearing on December 8, 2005 because Federal Judge Filip had scheduled my Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus on this criminal contempt case to be heard on that morning, and even told me prior to the hearing informally through his courtroom deputy that another judge would not arrest someone for not appearing as long as they were given notice there was another court hearing. Judge Filip denied my petition without prejudice for failure to exhaust state remedies. This Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus has now been refiled and is pending before Federal Judge Coar.   I had been illegally removed as pro se counsel (self-representation), although declared indigent denied a public defender for 7 months, denied a due  process hearing on her statement that she was jailing me because I failed to show up for hearing on December 8, 2005 and because I refused to answer questions at a fitness exam she had ordered although I showed up. It is actually a statutory right for me to refuse to answer questions. I did so in exercising this right because I am adamant that her orders are illegal and without jurisdiction – void ab initio. I refuse to bow to despots. The statute, 725 ILCS 5/104-13, even states that bail may NOT BE REVOKED to accomplish a fitness exam. Her order for a fitness exam was without legal basis – she only said my behavior in court (vigorously defending myself pro se by questioning her lack of  jurisdiction) and my copious pleadings (soon to be posted on the web motions to dismiss the case for lack of personal or subject matter jurisdiction) suggested a mental unfitness. This statement is NOT a legally sufficient allegation in open court that would justify a fitness exam.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/9708949/Shelton-Federal-Petition-for-Writ-Habeas-Corpus-Vendor-Fraud-2008

On January 6, 2006 after the Illinois Appellate Court freed me on December 30, 2005 and reduced bail from “no bail” to $10,000 personal recognizance bail, Dishon. Judge Pantle falsely stated on the record, without me in the courtroom and without benefit of counsel that I had lied to the IL Appellate Court to obtain release and then she raised the bail from $10,000 personal recognizance bail to $500,000 D-Bond (10$ cash required to get out). The IL Appellate Court again freed me 2 weeks later, overturning her order.

2. She committed felony conspiracy to violate rights under color of law in conspiring with Bill Bradley, IL State Police Investigator William Reibel, Patrick Keenan, Nicholas Cozzolino, John Fearon, Patrick Murphy, and Judges Kathleen Pantle, Jorge Alonso, and Lon Schultz, as well as other unnamed or unknown individuals to intentionally retaliating against those who are whistle blowers against government corruption in Illinois and Cook County in that she conspired to illegally prosecute providers of mental health services to those on Medicaid so as to deny care for mental health services to those on Medicaid – this is a gross violation of her oath of office in that prosecutions without personal or subject-matter jurisdiction are forbidden;

3. She committed felony violation of civil rights under color of law as above;

4.  She committed the act of aiding and abetting felony subornation of perjury by the employees of the IL Attorney General’s Office by failing to hold hearings on my motion to dismiss for fraud upon the grand jury, including the acts by State Police Inv. Reibel in making false statements to the grand juries that indicted Dr. Shelton and Mr. Glass, including false statements about the law and about evidence;

5. She violating her oath of office in allowing the void prosecution of Dr. Shelton and Mr. Glass for Medicaid Vendor Fraud without jurisdiction and in violation of the United States Federal Medicaid Code and the Constitution’s Supremecy Clause, as well as prosecuting these persons when she had evidence they were not guilty of the alleged acts;

6. She committed malicious prosecution against Dr. Shelton and Mr. Glass in that all these persons were whistle blowers against corruption in Illinois government and these fraudulent and malicious prosecutions amounted to retaliation for exposing the criminal conduct of members of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, as well as officials in the City of Chicago, County of Cook, and State of Illinois;

7. She was aiding and abetting the felony violaton of civil rights under color of law by AAGs Fearon, Murray who were and are still grossly violating due process in not only prosecuting these persons without subject matter or personal jurisdiction, but also in doing so in a process indicative of gross prosecutorial misconduct in violating many rights required by due process under the Constitution;

8. She committed the felony federal crime of slavery concerning Dr. Shelton in jailing her without legal process in violation of the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution;

9. She violated her oath of office and snubbed her nose at the Constitution in stating in open court in answer to my concerns about her lack of jurisdiction, “I don’t care,” in open defiance of the rules of law;

10. She gave false information to Judge Alonso , who had taken over the case against me when Judge Pantle was transferred out of the criminal court to the Chancery Division, while in the judge’s chambers behind the bench on April 13, 2007, so that Judge Alonso would again illegally hold me in contempt and summarily jail me – Judge Pantle was “visiting” the courtroom to finish up a few cases and hid herself in Judge Alonso’s chambers during one of my void pre-trial hearings – Judge Alonso, falsely thinking that Judge Pantle understood pro se and contempt issues BLINDLY followed her suggestions and procedures thereby also illegally finding me in contempt in an act of not just judicial stupidity, but also in an unconstitutional act;

11. She committed court ordered elder neglect, in a heartless and unethical act, by not considering my father’s situation and not allowing me to arrange for the care of my disabled father whenever she took me into custody- during May to June 2005 he lost 20 lbs and I found him at home dehydrated and depressed;

12. She ignored the well being and health of a defendant, as well as denied due process, by continuing hearings when I was substantially impaired by an asthma attack and/or dehydration and medical neglect – Cook County Jail staff had withheld my heart and lung medication;

***further details to be added to this post – work in preparation***

I call upon the Illinois House to investigate this matter and consider articles of impeachment. I call upon Chief Judge Evans to remove this incompetent, arrogant, dangerous, witch from the bench before others are harmed.

Please write the Majority Leader of the Illinois House at:

Rep. Barbara Flynn Currie
300 Capitol Building
Springfield, IL   62706

and the Circuit Court of Cook County Chief Judge:

Chief Judge Timothy Evans
Richard J. Daley Center
50 W. Washington, Rm 2600
Chicago, IL 60602

It is criminal in my opinion that she is now a bond judge in the main criminal court building concerning the most serious felonies in Cook County. Presiding Criminal Court Judge Biebel should be ashamed that he has appointed her to such an important task.
