Cleaning the nose by flushing with saline (salt) water mixed in a certain way is very helpful for people with colds or allergies. Special spray bottles or neti pots may be used.

However, if you live in a warm climate and amoeba contaminate the water, failure to use filtered or boiled water may kill you due to an infection with the amoeba causing encephalitis. You must let boiled water cool before using it. Temperature of the water is important as cold water will cause pain and headache.

It is CRUCIAL that you carefully follow directions about using CLEAN water and not tap or stream water.

Stop systemic court driven elder abuse and exploitation

Courts around the country are placing the elderly under guardianship and stealing their estates despite no clear evidence by competent doctors that they are incompetent. Greedy court appointed guardians are given total control to rape their estates and make their last days miserable. Then their families are barred from visiting them while they are incarcerated in nursing homes. Greedy uncaring relatives may be able to obtain an order of protection against other family members. Courts ignore law and hired gun crooked psychologists or pschiatrists support this corruption without giving the elderly a chance to hire their own or have the court pay for their own mental health professional.

This must stop. Please sign this petition for Mary Sykes a 92 yr old woman in this position and write to Cook County Board President Tony Preckwinckle, Chicago Mayor Emmanual and your Congressment, Senators, and legislators. We need hearings and intervention now. Too many are suffering!

Money rules in America and it has now corrupted our system from stem to stern. Now there is clear-cut evidence in the highest levels of our healthy policy makers. Big business and multi-national corporations rule America, not the people. Those of us who speak up are quashed like a bug. See details about what happened to me here and here.

Not only have the percentage of ALL income in America, for the top 20%, in personal income group, increased from 20% to 60% in the last 30 years meaning that now 80 % of the population receives only 20 % of the income, but our officials who decide our country’s policies and give our population recommendations are being increasingly shown to be greedy, morally corrupted, and unreliable. Trickle down doesn’t work. As taxes for the ultra-weathy have decreased from 63% to less than 20% (considering all the loopholes), the rich are getting richer and the ranks of the poor are rapidly increasing.

The rich are getting richer off the labor of the 80% of those of us who bust our butts. The middle class is disappearing. The rich are taking possession of our property as we lose it in foreclosure; as our children, elderly, and disabled lose their rights, parents, freedom, and property through corrupt divorce and probate courts – with the government becoming their guardian; and as the wealth of the 99% crashes, which will be further diminished as the dollar’s value crashes and the stock market falls because both have been artificially bubbled just like housing stock. The present rise in stock values is an illusion. The fundamentals are not there to sustain it. Eventually there will be a much bigger correction than we have already seen.

Iraq war vet skull cracked by police in Occupy Oakland protest

On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, police in Oakland, California, aggressively used “nonlethal” rounds to disperse peaceful protesters from Occupy Oakland. Their violent overreaction seriously injured Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen, leaving him hospitalized with a fractured
skull.

The State of Georgia has executed Troy Anthony Davis despite no evidence but witnesses, seven of nine who have recanted their stories. We are not a civilized country. We are a totalitarian police state and it is time to hold our elected officials and judges accountable. We must stand together and remove every last one from office who does not support abolition of the the death penalty. The death penalty when carried out without absolute proof proves we are barabarians.

Americans are murderers, each and every one for having failed to end the death penalty. We have executed innocent people.

Death from lack of dental care increasing in United States

Tooth and gum disease is a leading cause of infections, heart disease, and poor nutrition, especially in the elderly. The fact that our supposedly civilized country has so neglected this necessary health care is a sorry fact. A country is judged by the way it treats the least among it. Poor people in the United
States have lost man of their teeth before the age of 40 and the percentage who need dentures despite advancements in dentistry is appalling.

Sebveral years ago our church janitor, a gentle man who had a tough life with some personal problems, lived in our church apartment and cared lovingly for our church building. He didn’t have the money to pay for dental care and had a horrible abscess and pain from rotten teeth. he kept buying ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil are the brand names). He took large quantities of this drug for a long time. The end result was that the drug caused a bleeding ulcer and we found him deaf in the church school in his 40s, having bled out from his bleeding ulcer in a pool of blood. This was a preventable death.

The number of Americans dying of preventable complications of dental caries is rising at an alarming rate. There is no excuse for our country to neglect its citizens like this. Health care should be a right and not a privilege and this should especially be true of mental health care.

How much money are we going to waste paying for persons who come to ERs with advanced terminal illness that was preventable? How many productive years will be lost? How many kids will grow up without a parent, under financial stress and inadequate supervision?

I don’t believe Rick Perry – he’s misleading us

After reading this article by Hightower, I don’t believe Rick Perry and I won’t be voting for him. I want honesty and transparency in government, not hype, hypocrisy, and misleading statements. Rick Perry appears to be the opposite of this ideal.

Presidential wannabe Rick Perry is . . . spreading little “Perry Tales” about himself . . . claims that his Texas Miracle is the result of him keeping the government out of the private sector’s way. . . During Perry’s decade, the greatest job growth [in Texas] . . . has come from the public sector . . . more than doubled the number of new jobs created by the private sector.

His top Perry Tale . . .” While the rest of the country is mired in joblessness, says the miracle worker, his state has added 1.2 million jobs during his 10-year tenure.”

. . . the Lone Star State ranks a middling 26th, behind New York, Massachusetts and other states whose “liberal” governments he routinely mocks.

. . . .

On his watch as governor, Texas added more minimum wage jobs than all the other 49 states combined. More than half a million Texans now work for $7.25 an hour or less.

he’s running around ranting about President Obama’s stimulus program, but he gladly accepted the third highest amount of stimulus funds taken by the 50 states. There’s his miracle.

Perry personally took $80,000 in farm payments. . . . [govt] financed his college education at Texas A&M, [allowing him] to be a cheerleader. . . . he spent four years on the federal payroll as an Air Force transport pilot who never did any combat duty. . . . [he's been in elected office] for 27 years . . . . getting regular paychecks from taxpayers for nearly three decades as a state representative, agriculture commissioner, lieutenant governor and governor . . . [receiving benefits including] platinum-level health care coverage and a generous pension from the state, plus $10,000 a month for renting a luxury suburban home, a covey of political and personal aides and even a publicly paid subscription to Food & Wine magazine.

Perry has been living high on the hog, on Texas tax dollars, keeping Texas citizens in poverty with very little benefits. He’s not just made government “inconsequential” in Texans’ lives – he’s made it unresponsive and irresponsible in Texas. He’s trying to sell the rest of the country this bill of goods!

Perry literally puts the “hype” in hypocrisy. Forget his tall tales and political B.S. — look at what he actually does.

5,000 children each year fall out of windows – are your kids protected?

It is a sad statement that 5,000 children each year in the U.S. are injured or killed falling out of windows. Toddlers can climb and lean against screens that give way or climb out of open windows. A window guard costs about $20 and has a quick release to led people get out in case of fire.

Until there is mandatory legislation concerning apartments this number will continue. Children often even fall out of 1st and second story windows.

What a parent or babysitter needs to do is make sure that there is no furniture where a child can climb onto and out of a window, or use a window guard, as well as check the screens as most are very flimsy and are easily knocked out. Remedy any unsafe situation.

We need legislation or private foundations to help set up a system to provide low-cost or free window guards to indigent persons.
